Regent
Shelby Figueroa
Shelby is a third-year student from St. Petersburg, Fl. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. In order to unwind after a long day of lectures, she loves to binge-watch TV shows or play board games with her roommates. On campus, Shelby is Vice President-Elect of Recruitment and Special Events for Student Ambassadors and the Power to End Stroke Chair for SNPhA. Additionally, she is an intern at Publix, where she continues to learn more about pharmacy every day.

Alexis Kovacs
Alexis is from Miami, Fl. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Minor in Disabilities in Society. When she has free time, she enjoys playing with her cats, Mystic and Mercury, or spending time at Disney. Her favorite Disney character is Stitch and, she too, found her Ohana with the Brothers of Kappa Psi Epsilon Mu. She was part of the 3rd place team for the UF Orlando Compounding Competition and looks forward to continuing to compete.

Leena Aboueljoud
Leena is a third-year student who was born in Kuwait and spent many years of her childhood there before moving to Orlando, Fl. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences. She loves spending time with her family and loved ones. She also enjoys sports and particularly loves the NBA and NFL. Her family is from Lebanon, and she hopes to one day live there.

Nekira Frelix
Nekira was born and raised in Orlando, Fl. She attended the University of Central Florida, where she received her degree in Health Sciences. On campus, she is sPMC's Director of Education and the 2023 SOAR Co-Chair. Nekira had a busy summer, traveling to Finland and Sweden with UFCOP's study abroad program, as well as working for Gilead Sciences in California as an intern in Oncology Operations. In her free time, Nekira likes to catch up on some much-needed rest, spend time with her friends and family, travel, and go to Disney.

Historian
Callista Hall
Callista is a second-year student from Frankfort, IL. She attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she completed her Bachelor's in Chemistry. Callista came to University of Florida to pursue her passion for pharmacy and to enjoy the year-round sunshine (a stark contrast from northern Illinois). She is involved in IPHC as President-Elect and Director-Elect of the Chapman Clinic and as a Student Ambassador. When she isn't studying, she enjoys learning new arts & crafts and attending concerts.

Pledgemaster
Liem Dang
Although born in San Francisco, California, Liem actually grew up in Laurel, Mississippi. He later moved to Orlando, Florida in 2007. He attended the University of Central Florida and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. His campus involvement includes serving as the President of Industry Pharmacists Organization and a Student Ambassador. Liem also served as Satrap of the Southeast Province. Two of Liem’s main hobbies are reading novels and eating out.

Immediate-Past Regent
Shefa Ali
Although born in Daytona, Shefa Ali spent most of her life growing up in Deltona and Deland, Fl. In 2017, she graduated from Stetson University with her Bachelor's in Biochemistry. She enjoys singing and dancing when she has some free time (and even when she doesn't). She also enjoys listening to music or reading something light to take her mind elsewhere. Shefa has been thankful for the opportunity to work with an amazing team, both in her first and second year, for the AMCP P&T Competition that won the local competition both years and got honorable mentions nationally. Shefa has complete her terms as APhA-ASP's President and AMCP's P&T Co-Coordinator. She looks forward to completing her APPEs as she works towards the final step in her Pharm.D.
