Officer Biographies

Regent
Alexis Kovacs
Alexis is from Miami, Fl. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Minor in Disabilities in Society. When she has free time, she enjoys playing with her cats, Mystic and Mercury, or spending time at Disney. Her favorite Disney character is Stitch and, she too, found her Ohana with the Brothers of Kappa Psi Epsilon Mu. She was part of the 3rd place team for the UF Orlando Compounding Competition and looks forward to continuing to compete.

Vice Regent
Morgan Mitchell
Morgan is from St. Petersburg, FL and went to undergrad at St. Petersburg College. She is the VP for Digital Engagement for Student Ambassadors and the Power to End Stroke chair for SNPhA. In her free time, she enjoys going out on the boat with her boyfriend, spending time with her 2 cats, Jack and Elliot, binge watching TV shows, and cooking. She also enjoys sports such as soccer and hockey.

Kaelyn Jones
Kaelyn was born and raised in Orlando, Fl. She graduated and got a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Valdosta State University. An Interdisciplinary Studies degree allowed Kaelyn to complete the required courses for pharmacy school while also allowing her to take psychology classes which helped develop a love for the area of psychology. Kaelyn enjoyed her time as a collegiate soccer player at Valdosta State as it created lifetime bonds with friends she talks to everyday. In her free time she loves playing pickleball, enjoys board games, and lounging around a pool.

Michael May
Born in Naples, FL, Michael currently thrives as a pharmacy intern at Publix Pharmacy in Winter Springs. Possessing a profound interest in the pharmaceutical realm, he is actively pursuing a career as an infectious disease clinical pharmacist. In addition to his professional pursuits, Michael takes pride in being a member of both sPMC and Rho Chi, elevating his engagement in the pharmacy community. Beyond the pharmacy landscape, Michael channels his passion for music, finding solace in playing the guitar during his leisure moments as a means of creative expression. When not busy with academic or musical endeavors, Michael treasures quality time with his fiancé, Maryn.

Jerelle Garcia
Jerelle Garcia, a third-year pharmacy student, graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a degree in biomedical sciences. When not focused on academics, Jerelle enjoys playing basketball, exploring new dining spots, and bonding with friends over video games. He holds the role of president of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) on campus, fueled by his passion for independent pharmacy. Jerelle aspires to own his own pharmacy one day, driven by a commitment to community-centered patient care and problem solving.

Matthew Todd
Graduating from a small private college in California, William Jessup University in 2022, Matthew moved to Orlando to attend one of the top pharmacy schools in the nation and enjoy close proximity to the theme parks. Through his time at UF, Matthew has been serving in numerous leadership roles, including President of Pharmacy Student Council, Orlando Vice President of Rho Chi, and Mental Health Awareness co-chair for APhA. When not studying or taking a stroll through Disney World, he enjoys playing video games, board games, and diving deep into classic films

Callista Hall
Callista is a third-year student from Frankfort, IL. She attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she completed her Bachelor's in Chemistry. Callista came to University of Florida to pursue her passion for pharmacy and to enjoy the year-round sunshine (a stark contrast from northern Illinois). She is involved in IPHC as President and Director of the Chapman Clinic and as a Student Ambassador. When she isn't studying, she enjoys learning new arts & crafts and attending concerts.

Shelby Figueroa
Shelby is a fourth-year student from St. Petersburg, Fl. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. In order to unwind after a long day of lectures, she loves to binge-watch TV shows or play board games with her roommates. Shelby was very active when on campus as she held many different titles including, Vice President of Recruitment and Special Events for Student Ambassadors. Additionally, she is an intern at Publix, where she continues to learn more about pharmacy every day.
